Banjo Joe and Danielle is a bluegrass-stringband-americana duo. Influenced by early country music stars like Uncle Dave Macon, Stringbean and Grandpa Jones, their music evokes moods of excitement and movement. Their old fashioned style is connected to a simpler time, bringing joy to smiling faces. Their songs often paint a picture of the struggle of a rambling musician- something to eat, being broke, having to quit to get a good paying job, inevitable death, pleading with God for help, and the bitter sweet relationship with whiskey. It is their hope to inspire listeners to celebrate life in spite of adversity and praise the hardships and rewards of being human.
